The media industry is the one industry that I have always wanted to work in.
Since I was little I've been interested in learning all about the workings of broadcasting. Anything to watching documentaries, reading books on the industry to begging to go to the Granada Studio tour and to the National Film and TV museum in Bradford. In fact in college I made all my subjects media related.
In 2005 I went to Lincoln University to study Media Production and loved it. Three years of studying this fantastic industry and getting to work on television, radio and film productions. I couldn't be happier. Since then I have gained media experience working for the BBC and filming the odd freelance project (and live comedy shows).
Anyway below is a list of the main media experiences I've had, including work and university.

Work
Crimewatch
In February 2009 I was invited down to London to work as a runner on BBC1's Crimewatch as part of the BBC Work Experience Scheme. This saw me working as a runner, assisting the team, conducting research, purchasing props, finding locations. This involved filming on location, in the live studio, in the office and running around London for props (including a head!) and to the edit suite. As part of this scheme I completed the BBC Health and Safety Training.
In April 2009 I was asked back to London and to work on another case. This was a short term paid contract as a freelance runner.
